We Need YOU!

The Errol Hassell Elementary School PTO is a nonprofit parent/teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians, and staff at Errol Hassell Elementary School.

The PTO’s mission is to promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of the Errol Hassell Elementary School. Our efforts serve to enhance and maximize the education of every child while aiding them in achieving their highest potential.

The PTO sponsors assistance to teachers in the classroom setting, holds fund-raisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, supports school and family social interaction, and provides a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.

It is our belief that the team effort of a parent-teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children – Join Us!

ERROL HASSELL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO

Welcome to Errol Hassell Elementary!

Dear Errol Hassell Families,

Another exciting year is upon us!  For those of you who are returning, welcome back!  And for our new families – we are so glad to have you joining our community!

My name is Shafina Fazal-Gardner and I, along with four amazing parents will oversee the PTO this year! A little about me – My husband, Kraig and I have an 8-year old son, Khoa who will be entering third grade.  We’ve been at the school since Kindergarten and love it! Getting to know our school – the teachers, Principal, and other families was really important to us when we first came to Errol Hassell. The relationships we’ve cultivated over the years has allowed us to be the greatest advocates for our son and has helped us expand our personal community.  Volunteering in the classroom, at school events, and by serving on the board of our PTO has been such a positive experience for keeping connected to what is going on at school, getting to know so many amazing kids and building those lasting friendships with other families – plus it’s a lot of fun! I promise.

I really hope to connect with you!  You can catch me working nearly every PTO sponsored event, colorizing our lost and found (I can’t help it!), organizing our PTO closet or in the office at morning drop-off – please say hello!  I also hope to meet you in-person at our monthly PTO meetings – these meetings are an opportunity to connect with others around our common focus – ensuring the best educational experience for our kids by supporting our teachers and school.  Our Principal and a teacher representative attend each meeting along with our PTO Board, event coordinators and group of interested and curious parents/guardians. I can’t wait to see you there!

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring the best for our school community.  Here is to a great 2019-20 school year!

Always,

Shafina Fazal-Gardner

A Word

From Our Principal

” Thank you, Errol Hassell Families, for volunteering. Last year, Errol Hassel families donated about $70,000 worth of labor to the school. This makes it possible for teachers to fous on teaching. Thank you for your time and effort. We appreciate you! “

– Cynthia Moffett
